Historical Drama Explores Legendary Heroes
100 Years After Vikings, New Generation Rises
Valhalla, the long-awaited sequel to the hit historical drama Vikings, has premiered on Netflix. The series, created by Jeb Stuart, is set 100 years after the events of the original show and follows a new generation of legendary heroes as they forge their own destinies.
The series stars Sam Corlett as Leif Erik the Red, Leo Suter as Harald Sigurdsson, Frida Gustavsson as Freydis Eriksdotter, and Laura Berlin as Emma of Normandy. The story begins after the massacre of the Vikings at St. Brice's Day in England, and follows the siblings Leif and Freydis as they seek revenge.
As they plot their vengeance, Viking armies converge in Kattegat, the heart of the Viking world. But Leif and Freydis have their own plans, and they are determined to exact a different kind of retribution.
