Europe: The Evolution of a Legendary Rock Band

The Early Days

Europe emerged onto the rock scene in 1979 with their formation in Upplands Väsby, Sweden.

The original lineup consisted of Joey Tempest (vocals), John Norum (guitar), Peter Olsson (bass), and Tony Reno (drums).

Europe's breakthrough came in 1986 with the release of their third album, "The Final Countdown".

The title track became a global smash hit, reaching number one in 26 countries.

Europe continued to enjoy success throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s.

However, internal tensions led to the band's breakup in 1992.

In 2003, Europe reunited for a highly successful comeback tour.

They have since released several new albums and continue to tour regularly.

Europe has sold over 30 million albums worldwide.

They are considered one of the most successful rock bands of all time.
