Innovative Design To Meet Weight Regulations

Pogačar's Custom ENVE Handlebar for Tour de France

Innovative Design to Meet Weight Regulations

Tadej Pogačar, the defending Tour de France champion, is using a new ENVE one-piece aero handlebar at this year's race. The custom handlebar is designed to bring Pogačar's bike closer to the 68kg weight limit, as well as provide him with a more comfortable and aerodynamic riding position.

Narrower Handlebars with Inverted Shifter Hoods

Despite the availability of narrower handlebars, Pogačar has opted to use a wider handlebar with inverted shifter hoods. This allows him to tuck his elbows in for a more aerodynamic position while still maintaining control of the bike.

Custom Components for Weight Reduction

In addition to the custom handlebar, Pogačar's bike features a number of other components designed to reduce weight. These include custom rotors, a Darimo seatpost, and a customized Prologo saddle. The combined weight savings of these components help Pogačar meet the strict weight regulations of the Tour de France.

Improved Aerodynamics and Comfort

The new ENVE handlebar not only meets the weight limit but also enhances Pogačar's aerodynamics and comfort. Its based on the current SES Aero Road Handlebar but with a few geometry tweaks requested by Pogačar. These tweaks allow Pogačar to find a more comfortable and efficient riding position, reducing fatigue and improving his overall performance.
