Cyprien Katsaris to Give Two Concerts in Japan in 2023
Pianist Cyprien Katsaris will perform a concert 30 November 2023 at the Tokyo Hamarikyu Asahi Hall, and another on 2023 Sun. 2 December, in the Tokyo Katsushika Symphony Hills - Iris Hall.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra will accompany Katsaris in both programs.
The 2023 Japan tour is part of Katsaris's ongoing worldwide concert series dedicated to the works of Camille Saint-Saens.
Katsaris's Saint-Saens album was released in March 2022 on the Piano 21 label. The album features a variety of Saint-Saens's piano works, including the Aquarium from the Carnival of the Animals, the Danse macabre, and the Piano Concerto No. 2.
On the programs for his Japanese concerts are Beethoven: Piano Concerto No.1, Op.15; Saint-Saëns: Piano Concerto No.2, Op.22; Grieg: Piano Concerto, Op.16; and Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto No.1, Op.23.
Katsaris is known for his passionate and virtuosic playing, and his concerts are always a special event. For those not able to attend, Katsaris's album of Saint-Saens is available on all major streaming platforms.
